IT may have been the perfect weather for ducks over the weekend but shoppers were surprised to see a couple of bunny girls hopping around the town centre.
Anish Harrison and Nicky Brewer, both 26, donned the famous ears and tails to raise awareness about animal testing.
The pair were protesting against household name Proctor and Gamble, who are behind brands such as Olay, MaxFactor and Pantene, who they claim test their products on animals.
"A lot of people assume that because we all know that there are other ways of testing products that animal testing no longer happens, but it does," said Miss Harrison.
"It is all about raising awareness and letting people know that some of the products they buy might be tested on animals."
The pair were asking people to sign their petition against animal testing and were also handing out carrier bags.
"The bags are covered in the names of products tested on animals," said Miss Brewer.
"A lot of people came up and asked us about it and they all seemed really interested in what we were saying.
"Our main aim of the day was to raise awareness."
