A PROJECT to bring a school's courtyard to life with colour has been launched.
The Commonweal School in The Mall, Old Town, is inviting families to help create artwork to breathe new life into its courtyard.
There are two sessions which people can turn up to, where they will be able to work with the school's resident artist Tracey Baker-Stewart.
The theme for the artwork will be on performing arts and festivals, such as Glastonbury.
The project is being run by the school, which has performing arts college status, in association with Swindon Family Learning and Artsmad.
Headteacher Keith Defter said: "The courtyard is currently austere and lifeless. It needs colourful artworks to bring the space alive. The Commonweal School serves our local community and this is an ideal opportunity for families to be part of the performing arts."
Tracey added: "We welcome families of all abilities. This should be a great project to work on."
The free sessions will be held on Saturday, June 10 and Saturday, June 17.
