SWINDON Council chief executive Sir Mike Pitt was on hand to present certificates to 11 disabled people who successfully completed numeracy and literacy courses at Enterprise Works.
A total of 27 certificates were handed out earlier this week at the learning centre in Gipsy Lane.
The courses are run with Swindon College and funded by a Government initiative, Free2learn.
Coun David Renard, Swindon Council's cabinet member for health, housing and social care, said: "These awards show the commitment of Swindon Council in supporting the employment and development of people with disabilities.
"Those who received them should be proud of their achievements."
Enterprise Works provides training and employment for more than 50 people who have disabilities. They instruct them in skills such as printing, sign making and making benches and fences.
