CHILDREN at Greendown School have not been left twiddling their thumbs this half-term with a host of holiday activities laid on for them to enjoy.
The Big A Adventure Club has been visiting the school and providing around 120 children, aged between four and 14, with a bouncy castle, sports and arts and crafts every day.
The Swindon-based boredom-busting club, which was founded by Tracey Bailey and her husband, Peter, in 1993, operates throughout all school holidays.
Mrs Bailey said: "We have lots going on in the summer and we often have activities like face painting and quad-biking for the children each week.
"The children have really been enjoying themselves."
The club has planned new projects for Red Oaks Primary and Abbeymead Primary where they will cater for all children up to the age of 11, even babies.
So far the club covers 23 schools and provides fun and games for up to 1,300 children in Swindon.
