BOTH days for the Swindon Race for Life are now full up. The 5km race takes place over the weekend of July 8 to 9 at Lydiard Park.
But if you do have a place race organiser Karina Morgan has some tips on how to get as much fundraising cash as possible.
"If you have a place in this year's race, I''s not too late to start fundraising and any amount is gratefully received," she said. "Set yourself a target whether it's £50, £150, or even more. The first person on your sponsorship form sets the level that everyone else will follow, so make sure you ask someone generous first or sponsor yourself. Take your form everywhere, as you never know when you might meet someone who would like to help such as neighbours and shopkeepers. And don't forget to ask people to tick the gift aid box as it gives an extra 28p from the government for every £1 you raise." Even though this race is now closed you can still enter others that are happening all over the country. For information visit www.raceforlife.org.uk
