movie critic Mark Kermode will be showing eight of his favourites at a Wiltshire music festival.
Mark’s choices will be screened at the Larmer Tree Festival, between Salisbury and Blandford Forum, from Thursday, July 15, to Sunday, July 18.
Movies on offer as part of Mark Kermode’s Film Club include Silent Running, Brazil and Mary Poppins. Mark will also be bringing his band, The Dodge Brothers, to play their American style rock to accompany the classic silent movie Beggars of Life.
Mark said: “I am thrilled to be hosting this film club which brings together two of my greatest passions, movies and music.’’ Alongside the film club will be performances from stars including Jools Holland and his Rhythm And Blues Orchestra with special guest Alison Moyet, Martha Wainwright, Robert Cray, The Oysterband and Ade Edmondson and The Bad Shepherds.
Headlining the comedy stage are Russell Howard and Rich Hall.
The festival has more than 150 free workshops on site, a theatre, talks, site art and a zone for youngsters. A full five-day ticket is £184 for adults, £152 for 11-17 year olds and £124 for 5-10 year olds, with entrance for under fives free. Camping and parking are free.
Tickets are available now from www.larmertreefestival.co.uk.
