ROCK legends Status Quo will stop off in Swindon as part of their forthcoming nationwide tour.
Quo will play their famous boogie rock at the Oasis on November 19 as part of the band’s 28-date winter tour.
The Quid Pro Quo tour kicks off in Southend on November 9 and draws to a close in Bradford on December 19.
Francis Rossi said: “We cannot wait for the UK winter dates. We’ve been halfway round the world already in 2010, so it will be great to get out on stage in front of our unbelieveable home crowds.
“Playing in the UK is so special to us.”
The group have recorded 64 British hit singles, of which 22 have reached the Top Ten.
Quo’s first hit was Pictures of Matchstick Men which reached number seven in January 1968, but they also hit the heights in the 1970s with songs such as Down Down, Rockin’ All Over the World and Whatever You Want.
Last year Status Quo, who have been gigging for 40 years, were named the hardest-working band by the Performing Rights Society, while Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt were even recognised by the Queen with OBEs for their services to music and charity.
The concert will be standing and tickets are priced at £34.50, plus a £2.50 booking fee. Tickets are on sale tomorrow from 9am.
