NEIVE Donaldson, at just eight months, has taken the first step towards becoming the new baby face of Disney.
Beating 7,000 other babies, Neive won the regional heat in Disney’s national competition, Magical Moments.
Mum Emma, 26, from Redhouse, Swindon, said: “We entered on a whim. We took a photograph of Neive in her fairy costume hanging in her pink door bouncer. A month later we had a call to say she had won. It was a big shock.’’ Emma said that Neive’s dad Barry, 35, is a sales rep and has been drumming up support for his daughter in Manchester, Wales and Newquay, persuading people to vote for her online.
Teresa Tideman, joint managing director of Disney Store Europe, said: “Neive’s winning photograph truly captures and celebrates a special baby moment.’’ The family, including Neive’s brother Callum, six, are currently on holiday in Scotland with Barry’s mum but they will be taking a trip to Disneyland when Neive is older. “I’m a massive fan of Disney,’’ said Emma. “We want everyone to vote for Neive.’’ The Swindon baby is now up against 59 other regional winners and can be voted for by visiting disneystore.co.uk/baby until the end of May.
