THE music of legendary musician Johnny Cash will be coming to life at the Arts Centre this week, courtesy of Roger Dean.
Roger and his band The Lazy Boys are bringing The Johnny Cash Story, a homage to the life and music of the American legend, to Swindon on Saturday night.
Roger Dean rose to fame following his BBC television debut at the age of 14, and he secured his first of many radio broadcasts soon after performing the music of Johnny Cash.
When asked to describe his show, Roger said: “Rather than attempting to mimic the great Johnny Cash, myself and my band have developed our own style over the years, treating audiences to a slick, tried and tested show which has taken in some of the biggest cities in the world.”
For those who have seen Hollywood blockbuster Walk The Line, starring Reece Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix, Roger says you are sure to enjoy more than two hours of storytelling magic featuring the singer’s biggest hits including I Walk The Line, Ring of Fire, A Boy Named Sue and many more.
The curtain goes up at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £14 and are available by calling the box office on 01793 614837.
