A MAN has been remanded in custody after being caught with a firearm and assaulting a man.
Wesley Harvie pleaded guilty to having an SMK air rifle on February 20, when he appeared before a judge at Swindon Crown Court.
The 21-year-old was previously banned from having the weapon after being sentenced to custody at a young offenders’ institution.
He also admitted assaulting Paul Pike between Wednesday December 2 and Friday December 4.
Harvie, of Deneb Drive, Oakhurst, pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm and possessing a firearm while prohibited.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Thursday, June 24 to allow the probation service time to compile a pre-sentence report. He remanded him in custody until then.
