JUDGING has begun to decide which images will appear in next year’s Prospect Hospice calendar.

Keen photographers flooded the Adver picture desk with shots of scenic views in a bid to put Prospect Hospice in the frame for its 2011 fundraising calendar. The snaps featured as part of In Your View on the letters pages of the Swindon Advertiser throughout April.

Prospect, based at Moormead Road, Wroughton, offers respite and end of life care to patients in and around Swindon.

The charity is looking for 13 images, one for every month and an extra shot for the front cover.

Hospice patients now have the painstaking task of determining whose pictures will make the final cut for the calendar.

Last year the calendar competition raked in around 200 entries and the overall winner was Lee Northcott with his picture of harvest time in Wanborough which is featured on the front cover. The winner of this year’s contest will receive £50 of photographic vouchers and all 13 will receive a free calendar and a thank you letter.

The calendar will be on sale in the charity shops and at the Advertiser front desk and the entries will also appear on the Advertiser’s website.
