A FISHING course for fathers and sons is being held in the summer holidays.
Churchfields School in Walcot West has organised a ‘Fishing for dads and lads’ course which is being held during the school holidays on the June 3 from 2-5pm at a local lake.
A spokesman for the group said: “We cover everything from bait, to tackle, reading the river, safety and techniques. We will show how to master the casting, learn a few knots and some basic entomology and then concentrate on the all important details, such as locating the fish.
“There’s no need to worry about venues, permits, the right flies, which tactics work, when and where. We will teach you.
“Bring any fishing gear you want to but we will have all the rods and equipment needed. “The activity is open to children of all ages, but you are advised to dress appropriately and bring along snacks and drinks.”
