JAKE the juggler will be teaching some circus skills at a fun and information day hosted by the Swindon Youth Forum.
The fun day is at The Platform, in Faringdon Road, Swindon, on Wednesday, June 2 from noon until 3pm.
Paul Dobson, the project co-ordinator of Swindon 10 to 18 Project, which organises the youth forum, said: “We thought we would bring in a few more fun activities this time.
“I am really looking forward to seeing Jake the Juggler in action.’’ On a more serious note there will be a sexual health workshop which came about from a previous forum information day.
“We had a scavenger hunt to investigate the availability of services for young people and one of the conclusions was that there were questions about the availability of information on sexual health,’’ said Paul.
The Primary Care Trust will be giving talks, advice and demonstrations for the young people.
There will also be some DJ sessions to get in the groove and it is decision time for choosing the final design for the forum’s polo shirts.
“The young people came up with their own designs,’’ said Paul.
The forum, for youngsters aged from 13 to 19 meets regularly to discuss issues that effect youngsters across Swindon.
There are 130 members who meet for one-off events and residential weekends. For more details call 01793 728555.
