STAFF at a firm which carries out electronic monitoring of offenders in Swindon has raised more than £2,000 for the Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group.
Employees at G4S Care and Justice Services, based at Kembrey Park, organised various fundraising activities, including cake sales and dress-down days.
The firm decided to support the charity because equipment recovery officer Craig Brett has a nine-year-old son, Callum, who regularly attends speech and language sessions through the group.
He said: “I am grateful to my colleagues for working so hard to raise such an incredible amount of money in aid of this amazing and worthwhile charity that helps my son and others like him.”
Staff initially raised £1,115 for the parent-led support group before G4S added to the amount through the company’s Match It scheme, bringing the total to £2,150.
