EXCITEMENT about the play off final has exploded on the town’s airwaves as the crucial match is now just days away.
The atmosphere at BBC Wiltshire in Prospect Place has reached fever-pitch with a full schedule of programming dedicated to the historic game.
The sports team also donned Town’s colours to support the Adver’s Paint The Town Red campaign to show a final boost of support for the club.
Shaun Hodgetts, head of news, said: “There is a real buzz in the office as well as out and about in town.
“This is going to be a brilliant game and, for some, it has the possibility of being a once in a lifetime event to see their club at Wembley.
“Everyone in Swindon seems to be backing the club and our dedicated Wembley team are raring to go.”
The station is having a special Wembley warm-up session tomorrow followed by a full day’s coverage on Saturday.
They also have hi-tech equipment which should allow them to broadcast the show from one of the 200 coaches leaving the town for London.
