WITH more than 30,000 fans making the pilgrimage to Wembley tomorrow, those taking public transport are being warned to leave in plenty of time and be patient.
People catching trains to the capital are being advised to have their tickets ready for inspection as there will be a large of people at stations at either end of the journey.
Ticket barriers will be in operation and so tickets will be required at both Swindon and London Paddington. There are some planned engineering works listed over the weekend and these will mainly affect supporters travelling back to Oxford late on Saturday night. Some services to Oxford will be a replacement bus service.
Those taking one of the 62 coaches from the County Ground are being asked to arrive by 9am at the latest as coaches will leave promptly at 9.30am.
A spokesman for SAS Travel, which has laid on the transport, said: “Coaches will depart at 9.30am and are unable to wait for latecomers due the number of coaches involved.
“There will be only a very limited number of parking spaces available in the car park.
“Please keep within the car park bollards while waiting to board your coach.
“There is strictly no alcohol to be taken on any of the coaches. There will be no cold buffet service on this trip. The coaches will not be stopping en route to Wembley.
“Each coach will have its number on its windscreen to assist supporters in finding their allocated coach.”
Coach numbers are written on the bottom of the receipts.
