POLICE have released CCTV footage of a man they want to trace in connection with the alleged assault of a 25-year-old man in Swindon, on Saturday, May 1.
The victim had approached a group of three men outside Tesco Express in The Parade between Fleming Way and Bridge Street in the town centre between 4.30am and 5.30am on Saturday, May 1.
After chatting to them for a few minutes, the men attacked him, knocked him to the ground and repeatedly kicked him, causing injuries to his head and arms.
He was treated at the Great Western Hospital but fortunately his injuries were not serious.
All three men are described as white.
The first man had short brown hair and was wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and a blue unzipped jacket which had a band of colour across the chest.
The second man had short, light brown hair and was wearing a white t-shirt.
The third man had brown hair and was also wearing a white T-shirt.
PC Sandra Higgins-Hughes said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the group of men chatting with the victim or may have witnessed the attack.
“I am also keen to identify the man in the CCTV image and would appeal to anyone who recognises him to contact me as soon as possible.”
