DRIVERS are being asked to come forward to support a community bus service.
Haydon Wick parish council is currently seeking a volunteer to drive its community bus and provide transport for elderly and disabled people within the area.
The driver would have to be able to commit to a few hours each week, in particular on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
To apply, you must be over 25 years of age with a full clean driving licence. Previous experience of driving a mini bus would be advantageous or those who are MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) trained.
However, training would be given to committed and suitable applicants.
Anyone interested or who would like further details should contact Caroline Roberts by emailing hwpc@sp-internet.net or calling 01792 722446.
