A CENTRE for children who cannot attend mainstream school is still looking for the public’s help as it prepares for its prom night.
The Riverside Centre, off Queens Drive, is putting on a summer ball for students and members of the public on July 23 at the Swindon Menzies Hotel.
It is still looking for a band or singer to perform, free of charge if possible, on the night.
Appeals so far have yielded no offers.
The centre provides schooling to 52 young people aged 11 to 16 from schools across Swindon.
They may have experienced bullying, bereavement, personal difficulties or school phobia or may be young carers.
This may lead to self-harm, difficulty sleeping, claustrophobia, depression or panic attacks.
The evening starts at 7.30pm, will include a three-course meal and tickets are £25 a head.
For more information, to buy tickets or help, call Sherrie on 01793 825622 or the Riverside Centre on 01793 618406.
