A NEW bar looks set to inject some life into Wood Street. Named after the Gerry Rafferty hit, Baker Street has transformed the former Picklejohns pub in Swindon.
Baker Street is a cocktail bar, that has been completely refurbished into a lounge with a raised area and two bars overlooking the main venue.
James Lever from the cocktail bar said: ‘’Baker Street is all about twisted ideas and detailed design and a subtle integration of boudoir and burlesque design.’’ The bar will be showing the World Cup football matches on plasmas and large projection screens. There will be various DJs playing funk with a twist of exotic sound.
For the opening night members will get a free glass of bubbly or a beer. To become a member visit www.ilovebakerstsreet.com or call 01793 978011.
