Caroline Dale – who, at 13 years old, became the string winner in one of the first BBC Young Musician of the Year competitions – presents a dramatic cello programme at the Arts Centre in Swindon on Sunday at 3pm.
Without knowing it, you may have already heard her playing in films such as Atonement and Hilary and Jackie. In the pop world she has played with the likes of George Michael, Bono and Eric Clapton.
Caroline’s programme on Sunday includes the grand sonata by César Franck and the lyrical sonata by Frank Bridge. Tickets are £12 by calling 01793 614837.
