A WOMAN found dead in her flat after suffering a cardiac arrest has been named as 22-year-old Rebecca Haynes.
She was discovered at 3.30pm last Friday at her home in George Selman Gardens, in Twyford Close, Park North.
Paramedics arrived moments later but were unable to save her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were called but they are not treating her death as suspicious and an inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday.
Yesterday more flowers, along with an unused wordsearch book marked ‘Becky’, had been laid at the door of the newly-converted flats she had only recently moved in to.
A sympathy card read: “You will be missed.”
Another message said: “Nice to have met you, let you rest now with the angels. x”
A spokeswoman for Wiltshire Police said that next of kin had been informed and Rebecca had been formally identified.
She said: “The family are distraught and have asked not to be disturbed at this difficult time.”
The flats were recently turned into 22 self-contained homes for people on the Swindon Council waiting list.
Last year, the Adver reported pensioners at the sheltered accommodation were told 22 of them had to look for somewhere else to live as Swindon Council tried to reduce its waiting list for general housing.
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said Rebecca had only recently moved into the flats, which were converted from former sheltered accommodation by Swindon Council.
“She was bubbly– it’s very sad,” he said. “I have only been a few months and she came in after me, maybe two months ago.”
