A WOMEN only cycling event is taking place in Lydiard Park in the summer.
The Cycletta event, which takes place on June 24, is open to about 800 female cyclists with the aim of inspiring more women to take to the saddle.
Last year around 1,600 women took part in two Cycletta events and this year they are holding seven events across the UK.
Cycletta is a unique series of women-only, mass-participation cycle events on safely managed roads.
The events are over 40km providing a fitness challenge, while remaining achievable and accessible.
Supported by Olympic Gold medallist Victoria Pendleton, these events align with Victoria’s commitment to inspiring British women to take up cycling as a meaningful fitness and lifestyle pursuit, whilst also providing current cyclists with an enjoyable and friendly environment to pursue their passion.
