PEOPLE will be going quackers for the 11th year running as organisers prepare for Swindon’s Famous Duck Race.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Swindon Old Town, will take place on the River Ray at Mannington Recreation Ground on June 4.
The traditional duck races will this year be combined with a dog show with additional stalls and amusements.
The event is being supported by the Nationwide Building Society and proceeds will be split between ABC (Affected by Cancer) and other Rotary charities.
Ticket sales will be officially launched at The Lalbagh Indian Cuisine Restaurant, in Rodbourne Road, on Wednesday when everyone is welcome to join in with the special all you can eat evening for £15.
Duck race joint organiser and Rotarian Stewart Bell said, “With the later bank holiday this year we are expecting fine weather so that everyone can enjoy all the special treats being organised.”
