THE Wyvern Theatre will be hosting open auditions for young people to be part of the juvenile dance chorus in their 2012-2013 pantomime, Aladdin, on Sunday, May 20.
Girls and boys, aged between 13 and 19, must have strong dance ability and stage presence. Singing and drama experience is desirable but not essential.
Rehearsals will take place throughout October and November at weekends only, including Friday evenings.
The juvenile dance chorus will join the professional cast from November 26, but rehearsals will still be held after school and at weekends until the production opens on December 7.
Each team of dancers will perform twice on alternate days until January 6, when the production closes.
Aladdin shall see the return of Keith Chegwin, after his highly-praised performance in last year’s Cinderella, and will boast a new script.
