HEADS turned skywards earlier this week as BBC presenter Andrew Plant took part in a tandem skydive with the Red Devils in aid of Sport Relief.
The Red Devils, the official display team of the parachute regiment and the British Army, along with the BBC Spotlight presenter, went above and beyond their call of duty to encourage the people of the West to enter the Sport Relief Mile on March 25.
The Red Devils are used to jumping out of planes, but for Andrew it was a whole new experience.
As he accelerated from 0mph to 120mph in just 10 seconds, then freefell from a whopping 13,000 feet, the adrenalin was rushing for Sport Relief.
The jump took place above the skies of Wiltshire on Wednesday morning.
“What a rush – it is such an incredible feeling knowing that we can defy the laws of gravity and experience the elements at such soaring heights, all in the name of Sport Relief,” said Andrew.
There are various events taking place in and around Swindon including Coate Water, Crickalde and Baydon.Visit sportrelief.com
