POLICE are hunting thieves who stole three catalytic converters from cars on display at a Swindon dealership.
The theft happened between 6.30pm on Wednesday and 7.30am yesterday at Fish Brothers Peugeot /Kia dealership on Great Western Way.
The offenders cut the converters from the exhaust systems beneath two Kia Sorentos and a Land Rover.
One of the Sorentos was on display only feet from the main road, and so it is possible that passing motorists could have seen the thieves.
The precious metal contained within converters makes them a valuable target for criminals who sell them for scrap.
People who saw anything suspicious are asked to contact PC David Townsend at Melksham Police on 01225 794635 or via 101.
