A DEADLINE for contributions to a special community album for Gorse Hill and Pinehurst has been extended until April 20.
Coun Janet Heenan (Con, St Philip) started the project to build community cohesion because some Penhill and St Philip ward residents will be moving to the new Gorse Hill and Pinehurst ward under boundary changes.
People are being encouraged to write a short story or draw a picture that tells their story. It can be about their life, how they came to live in the Gorse Hill and Pinehurst ward, how things have changed or whatever they would like to write or draw about.
All contributions will be compiled into a special album which will be donated to the library and available to be viewed by everyeone who wants to see it.
All Gorse Hill and Pinehurst residents are eligible to contribute.
The eligible St Philip ward residents live in Constable Road, Dores Road, Hermitage Lane, Headlands Grove, Jeffries Avenue, Masefield Avenue, and Wheeler Avenue.
The eligible Penhill ward residents live in Bradley Road, Okus Grove, Hilmarton Avenue, Fairford Crescent, Amberley Close, Crossways Avenue, Kelmscott Close, Tenzing Gardens, Mendip Close, Eastville Road, Haydon View Road, Sunningdale Road and Hilary Close.
Send entries to Coun Heenan, Gorse Hill & Pinehurst Community Album, c/o Council Offices, Euclid Street, Swindon, SN1 2JH.
