WILTSHIRE gardeners keen to get the most from their plots this spring are invited to a special gardening celebration next month.
Swindon Garden Centre will be offering keen and amateur gardeners free tips and advice during its Spring Gardening Celebration from April 14 to 29.
Lewis Fox, manager of the garden centre in Hyde Road in Stratton St Margaret, said: “During our Spring Gardening Celebration, staff will be on-hand to give visitors complimentary advice on looking after their gardens this spring. “Experts will also be available on selected days during the fortnight to host talks on herbaceous borders.”
National Gardening Week is aimed at encouraging everyone to get involved in gardening.
During the Spring Gardening Celebration children will be able to collect free cress seeds, while stocks last, to take home and grow.
Youngsters can also pick up a free activity sheet on how to grow cress in all varieties of containers.
The fortnight is part of a series of free events being organised at Swindon Garden Centre throughout the year on a number of different gardening topics.
