A PRE-SCHOOL has been saved from an uncertain future.
Little Albert’s Pre-School, in Lyneham, looked as if it might close following the withdrawal of the RAF from the base there.
North Wiltshire MP James Gray said: “I am delighted that at a meeting in Lyneham on Saturday a general agreement was achieved among the RAF, the Army, Wiltshire Council and the Parents Group that Little Albert’s Pre-school would remain open for the foreseeable future. There had been a concern that with the withdrawal of the RAF and the interregnum before the Tri-Service Training College arrives would mean Little Albert’s would close.
“That would be bad news from the point of view of other civilian local children and would involve expenditure in re-opening the school in two or three years’ time.”
