The Games is a piece of clowning comedy based on stories of ancient Greece, and it’s heading for the Arts Centre tomorrow.
It tells the story of three nobodies who are at the brunt of a bet between Zeus, Hera and Hercules.
They must compete in the ancient Olympics and take on the heroes of the sporting world, and the fate of all humankind rests on their efforts.
The heroes are a dreadful poet called Stanzas, an athlete called Hermaphrodite, who was born a girl, and another called Darius, who is described as the runt of the litter.
Tickets for The Games, which starts at 8pm, cost £12, with various concessions available.
