Swindon Council is offering two free workshops for residents to offer advice and help building a house.
The Getting the Builders In workshops aim to steer people around the pitfalls of extending a house.
They will be held between midday and 2pm at the Civic Offices, in Euclid Street, on Wednesday, April 25 and Wednesday, June 6. Council planning experts will be on hand to explain how building designs can be made to comply with planning and building regulations. They will also be providing advice on how to make sure the building work delivers what is wanted from the extension, and some useful tips on finding a good builder in the first place.
The workshops are free to residents of Swindon borough.
Anyone wishing to attend either event should phone 01793 445500 or email ddewart@swindon.gov.uk to register their interest and their preferred date.
