A FUNDRAISER is hoping to create a big noise in Old Town to raise money for the Prospect Hospice.
Kevin Price, of Old Town, is aiming to set up a regular charity night at the Kings Hotel to raise funds.
He said that he is not fit enough to run marathons or swim channels for the charity but will organise regular gigs to raise the cash and increase footfall in Old Town on a Sunday night. One band are already signed up for the idea, with Locomotion set to play a gig at the venue, in Wood Street, on April 22.
More bands are being sought to make this a regular event on the last Sunday of every month.
Kevin said: “I am really keen to raise funds for Prospect and I am not able to run marathons so this is my way of doing something. I have set up one-off gigs in the past but I want to make it a regular event and the Kings Hotel have agreed to support it.
“I had a close friend who spent time at Prospect so it is a charity close to my heart and I want to do my bit to help.”
Anybody who wants to get involved with the event should contact Kevin Price on 07766955567.
