Wounded soldier on trek to Everest base camp
SWINDON soldier Captain Francis Atkinson and the Walking With The Wounded Team are on their way to Everest base camp.
The team have left Kathmandu and are on their way from Namche, in Nepal, to Everest before trying to reach the summit.
Army doctor Cpt Francis, 31, who suffered a gunshot wound to his right upper arm while serving in Afghanistan, had an interesting start to the trip when he was called on to help a woman who had fainted on the plane.
