A SWINDON theatre company is desperately seeking an old style Chopper bike to use in their disco-style musical Boogie Nights – The 70s.

Empire Theatre Company actors will be pulling on their flares and platforms next week to stage the show at the Wyvern Theatre.

Pollyann Tanner, the founder of the company, has been hunting high and low for a Chopper bike to borrow, but so far no one has come up trumps.

She is willing to swap the loan of the bike for tickets to the show.

Boogie Night features all the disco favourites including We Are Family, Celebration, YMCA, Disco Inferno, I Will Survive and Boogie Wonderland.

It is set around the 1970s British culture and tells the tale of Roddy O’Neil and his friends, their lives and loves as they grow up.

Pollyann is choreographing the musical and Jamie Brooks is the musical director for the show.

Anyone who has a Chopper bicycle to lend to the theatre company should call 07775991700 or email empiretheatrecompany@tiscali.co.uk.

Boogie Nights will be performed at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre at 7.30pm from April 12 to 14 by the members of the company, aged between 13 and 35. Tickets are £11 from 01793 524481.
