THREE men who burst into a house and attacked a woman with a dog chain and a stun gun have been jailed today.
Owen Roger Bygraves, 41, of Royal Wootton Bassett, Lewis Colin Hicks, 31, of Exmoor Close, Taw Hill and Samuel Kofi Ackah, 33, of of County Road, were sentenced at Swindon Crown Court after being found guilty by a jury of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Bygraves was sentenced to seven years imprisonment, Hicks was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment and Ackah was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.
The court heard that on Monday, June 20 Bygraves, Hicks and Ackah entered a house in Kirkstall Close, Toothill, and seriously assaulted the victim using a dog chain and taser gun.
Detective Constable Megan Kenzie, of Swindon CID, said: "This was a prolonged, unprovoked and vicious attack on a woman who was not able to defend herself."
