A SHOPKEEPER has been left shocked after his shop was held up at knife-point on Saturday afternoon.
The third knife-point burglary in the space of a week, in the Swindon area, happened at Best-one Xpress, in Clifton Street, in broad daylight.
At 3.05pm two males entered the store with their faces partly covered and one of them holding a knife.
A member of staff was inside the store at the time and the males demanded money from the shop worker as well as numerous items from the store.
The man carrying the knife was wearing a grey hooded top which seemed to have a sequence of numbers in black on the left breast and was wearing grey jogging bottoms.
The other man was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms with three white stripes down the legs and he was wearing a dark blue quilted jacket with a grey hooded top underneath.
The men have taken the items and have made off in the direction of Radnor Street Kings Hill.
Police have said that the cashier has a good relationship with people in the area and has been left shocked that an incident like this could happen to him at such a busy time of the day.
There have now been three knife-point robberies in the Swindon area within a week.
Last weekend two youngsters, thought to be aged 16, targeted two Esso garages in Kings Hill, Swindon, and High Street, Royal Wootton Bassett carrying a nine-inch blade.
It is not yet known if these incidents are related.
If anyone has any information on who these men are, or witnessed the incident please contact Detective Constable Megan Kenzie on 101 or anonymously on 0800 555 111.
