LUNCH was on the menu for families when the Kingsmill Fun Lunch tour rolled into Swindon.

The team’s interactive bus arrived at Wharf Green to help local children invent their dream sandwiches and get them in the mood for The Big Lunch 2012 – on the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee weekend in June.

The recipes were entered into the Kingsmill Dream Sandwich competition and the winner will receive a Big Lunch for their street on June 3 with an appearance by radio DJ Jo Whiley.

Will Ghali, director of brands at Allied Bakeries, said: “We’re really excited about the regional tour. It gives us a chance to get out on the streets and really make lunch fun for children and parents.

“The tour is a great way of spreading knowledge about The Big Lunch and the Dream Sandwich Competition and we are really looking forward to seeing all the amazing entries we receive.”

The winning child’s recipe will be recreated and photographed for the Fun Lunch Recipe Book, along with 23 entries from the UK, all available to download at www.kingsmillbread.

com from May 21.

The winner will also receive a £250 Toys-R-Us voucher and chefs outfits for their class.
