Dear Editor, Myself and ex army colleague John Tarry will be doing a fund raising walk from Royal Wootton Bassett to the Royal Marines depot at Lympstone , Devon.

We will be raising much needed funds for the Combat Stress charity. This charity doesn't get much publicity but is equally as important as other forces charities. Physical injuries are easily spotted but an injured mind may not be spotted until it's too late. This is known as the enemy within.

We begin our walk on June 20th from Royal Wootton Bassett with stops on the way at Devises, Warminster, Shepton Mallett, Yeovilton, Chard, Honiton and Exeter before reaching our destination.

The aim for this event is too obviously raise funds but also to raise awareness to the problem of combat stress.

John and I served in the Duke of Edinburghs Royal regiment during the 60's and 70's and are now pensioners with time on our hands, what better way to use our time than helping others less fortunate.

I hope you can help us by publicising this event and more importantly the charity.

Many thanks, Alan Cottrell.
