Swindon Walcot and Parks Community Group and the management committee of the Buckhurst Park Community Centre (formerly Walcot Dome Community Centre) are working together in the planning of celebration events for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympic Games.
It is hoped to have various activities for all ages and abilities relating to the Jubilee and the Olympics including a table top / craft sale and a tea dance on June 4th plus a fun day on June 6th involving various sporting activities, Cadbury’s Spots and Stripes games, stalls, refreshments, craft activities, a special alien visitor, bring along a home baked and decorated jubilee cake to win a prize and hopefully lots more.
The events will be held in the Buckhurst Park Community Centre (formerly Walcot Dome), Burghley Close, Walcot and on Buckhurst Recreational Field.
