SHE may not have won the TV talent show, but Cher Lloyd still showed she had the X Factor when she took to the stage in front of hundreds at the Oasis Leisure Centre.
The pop princess had fans of all ages singing along as she belted out hits from her album, Sticks and Stones, as well as well-known covers on Saturday night.
With a live band, flashing lights and backing dancers, the pint-sized star kept the audience entertained during the 70-minute set, the penultimate night of her 14-date tour.
The show opened with Cher, dressed in a bowler hat, lacy top and short skirt, wowing the audience with an album track.
She went on to impress the crowd when she hit the high notes with slower numbers, showing off her singing talent. The highlight of the night was her performance of number-one single, Swagger Jagger, which got her fans dancing and waving their banners while an impressive array of flashing lights lit up the stage.
The teenager rose to fame in 2010 when she appeared on The X Factor alongside the likes of runner-up Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle plus the colourful Wagner and former checkout worker Mary Byrne.
With performances of Usher’s OMG, Dancing On My Own by Robyn, Jason Derulo’s Breathing and Complicated by Avril Lavigne, the star showed her talent has grown since her days on the show.
The pop princess also took time out to talk to the audience, answering questions sent in via Twitter.
When asked which day of her life she would go back to, she told fans she would return to her first audition to change her appearance, changing her ripped jeans and her ‘all over the place’ eyebrows.
In response to another question from Twitter, Cher revealed her musical inspiration – country singer Dolly Parton.
The show ended with a note perfect performance of her current hit, Want U Back. It was just a shame the star did not return for a much-requested encore.
An impressive warm-up from up and coming stars, No Lights At Lockdown and SD Jem, which preceded her performance, ensured the crowd was in the mood for a great night.
And when she came on stage they weren’t disappointed.
She may have only come fourth in the show, but Cher showed she has enough X Factor to last for years to come.
