BUSES have had to be diverted while police investigate a suspected bomb scare at both courthouses.
Officers have cordoned off a large area around the two buildings and evacuated staff.
The changes to the buses are as follows: Route 1/1A: Inward via Station Road, to terminate at Bus Station Taxi Rank Route 2:Inward via Manchester Road to Taxi Rank, then return via Manchester Road(once Fleming Way has been shut).
Route 11: Towards East Wichel via Drove Road. When Fleming Way shuts will run from Taxi Rank via Manchester Road and Drove Road. From East Wichel via Drove Road and Manchester Road to Taxi Rank, then via Station to Haydon Wick
Route 13/14: From Haydon Wick via Station Road to Fleming Way (but to Taxi Rank when Fleming Way closes, then via Manchester Road, County Road towards Eldene/Liden). From Eldene (when Fleming Way has closed) via County Road, Manchester Road to Taxi Rank, then on to Haydon Wick). At present via Corporation Street to Taxi Rank and as stated. Now running towards towards Haydon Wick from Bus Station Bays 18/19.
Route 15/15A: Not affected.
Route 16: Will divert via Manchester Road to/from Taxi Rank when Fleming Way closes.
Route 17: To Park North via Fleming Way, Drove Road but will use Manchester Road Drove Road when Fleming Way closes. From Park North via Drove Road to Taxi Rank, then via Station and Manchester Road to Penhill. Now using Bays 18/19 in Bus Station Route 18: Will use Manchester Road when Fleming Way closes to/from Taxi Rank.
Route 19: Inward via Station Road to Taxi Rank.
Route 20: Not affected.
Route 22/25: Via Manchester Road, Drove Road to/from Taxi Rank.
Route 24: Towards GWH via Drove Road. When Fleming Way shuts will run from Taxi Rank via Manchester Road and Drove Road and vice versa. Towards Blunsdon from Taxi Rank via Station and Manchester Road.
Route 29: Not affected.
Route 30: Via Manchester Road to/from Taxi Rank.
PLEASE NOTE: To ease congestion at the Taxi Rank stop, routes 1, 1A and 19 are now starting at the Katherine Street stop in Holbrook Way
