DETECTIVES have released an image of people they want to identify in connection with four robberies across the town.
The image shows four men, three of whom police have appealed to the public to identify, who they want to speak to in connection with the four incidents in little over a week.
The first two incidents took place over the weekend of March 30/31. At about 8.15pm on March 30, two men entered the Shell Garage, in Kingshill. On March 31 at about 9.50pm, the Esso Garage, in Royal Wootton Bassett, was targeted.
Shortly after 3pm on April 7, two men entered the Best One Express Shop, in Clifton Road, and threatened staff.
Then at about 8.30pm on April 9, two men entered the Hythe Road Store, in Hythe Road, and again threatened staff but were chased into the street by shop owner Memis Dogus.
Detectives are keen to hear from anyone with any information in relation to all four of the attacks and have released a further image showing three men they would like to identify.
Det Sgt Tom Straker said: “People can be assured that we are continuing to work hard on the investigations around all of these incidents.
“If you think you recognise any of these men or have any information on any of the robberies please contact us.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
* Joseph Kingsley, 18, of Graham Street, appeared yesterday at North Wiltshire Magistrates’ Court charged in connection with four robberies. He was remanded in custody to appear at Swindon Crown Court on Friday, May 4.
