Royal military policeman Del Hatton is running the London Marathon to support The Soldiers’ Charity.
Mr Hatton lives in Devizes and is based at Bulford. The charity supports specialist charities and gives grants to individuals.
Mr Hatton, who joined the Army in 1988, said: “I returned from an operational tour in Afghanistan in 2009, where my team investigated the deaths and repatriated over 30 British Forces personnel killed in action.
“This is my first attempt at running a marathon and having served over 24 years in the Army, so far without a scratch, I hope to raise funding for a charity that supports our soldiers and families of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.”
