Landscape gardener Andy Peel Cross, who recently lost his father to motor neurone disease, will run the London Marathon to help raise money for others affected by the disorder.
Andy Peel Cross Mr Peel Cross, 41, from Mildenhall, ran the mara-thon in 2009, but when his father Mike was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in October 2010, he decided to step up to the challenge again to help increase awareness of the condition.
He said: “As a family, we have had first-hand experience of what a cruel disease motor neurone is. It robbed my dad of two of the most important things in his life – the ability to be outside doing the things he loved, and the ability to talk to people as he was doing them.”
