PINETREES Community Centre has found a recipe for success with its lunch clubs.
More than 50 people now regularly attend the centre’s offering of a hot two-course meal every Thursday.
In order to encourage even more members of the community to attend, the centre’s cafe has announced that it will also be opening every Tuesday.
Ed Brown, local community development officer for the centre, said he was unsurprised that the Thursday Lunch Club had been so popular.
“We have a fantastic team of volunteers and chefs. The lunch club is a great way for the community to get together, and there is no eligibility criteria – just come along as and enjoy delicious homemade food, followed by a free raffle,” he said.
The lunch clubs are held in the café area in the Pinetrees Community Centre, in Pinehurst, every Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 2pm.
They offer the chance to socialise and enjoy a hot meal for a reasonable price.
For more information, or to volunteer at the club, contact Ed on 07769 281655.
