TALENTED artists are showing off their skills this week.
About 60 pieces of work are on display in the community room at the council offices in Highworth as part of the Highworth Artists’ Society spring exhibition.
The event is open from 10am until 4pm until the weekend.
Publicity secretary Wendy Fouracre said: “The paintings are a variety of different styles and mediums. Each artist has put in two pieces each and we have also got blank cards of our paintings. There isn’t a particular theme so there is a huge variety.”
Wendy has a mixed medium black and white painting of mushrooms on display as well as another called Autumn Glow.
“People should come to see the exhibition because it is local talent,” she said.
“They might find something to go with their homes that reminds them of somewhere special,” she said.
Highworth Artists’ Society , which has 60 members, exhibits in spring and autumn.
“We meet almost every Tuesday in the community room in Highworth Council Offices spending the time painting and enjoying one another’s company,” she said.
