TWO comedians and a one-woman show are among the line-up at the Arts Centre in Swindon this week.
Funnymen Charlie Baker and Josh Widdicombe are both on the bill at the venue in Devizes Roaed next Thursday, May 3.
Charlie, who won Let’s Dance for Comic Relief, can be seen on BBC3’s Comedy Gala 2011, BBC2’s Never Mind The Buzzcocks and ITV1’s Odd One In.
Josh Widdicombe is another rising comedy star, and promises to open the doors on his upbringing in a tiny Devon village, which he readily admits was no preparation for life and relationships.
Tickets cost £12.
The night before, on Wednesday next week, a play called Against The Odds is staged at the theatre. The plot focuses on Flora, a disturbed young maths prodigy, who is shortly to meet her father, Harry, a writer of short stories, for the first time in two and a half years.
A one-woman show by Jade Blue, Against the Odds has won rave reviews from a broad spectrum of critics, and was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2010. Tickets for Against the Odds cost £12 with a student rate of £6. The performance starts at 7.30pm.
