A MOTORCYCLIST needed hospital treatment on Tuesday night after an accident at a busy junction in Old Town.
The man was hurt in a collision involving a car at the Victoria Road junction with Prospect Place.
Police briefly blocked off the section of the road while they dealt with the incident, which happened at 9.30pm.
A paramedic in a rapid-response vehicle was first on scene, followed by an Ambulance crew.
The motorcyclist remained conscious as he waited for the ambulance and was not given emergency treatment.
A spokesman for Great Western Ambulance Service said: “The patient was assessed and treated on scene.
“He was reported as conscious and breathing throughout. He was taken to Great Western Hospital.
