MUSIC lovers are expected to head to the town centre on Sunday as the third SN1 Fest gets under way.
The event, at Revolution, will include 13 hours of music, street entertainment and a barbecue.
SN1 Fest, which saw more than 2,000 people attend over 13 hours last year, began as a pre-event for the 2009 Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Swindon and includes 40 DJs as well as three music genres.
Laura Caddy, one of the owners of SN1 Fest, said: “The ideology behind the SN1 Fest is to create an event to serve Swindon’s dance community by showcasing various performances from local talented artists across a spectrum of different dance and musical genres.
“During these bleak economic times, the SN1 Fest owners believe that by creating an event that is affordable, different and exciting, it will have a positive impact on Swindon. This is the third year the event has gone ahead and with so much online marketing, the expectation is that this event will be as successful as past events put on by the SN1 team. We just want to give something back to the community and give people a great event at a really low cost.”
Entry is £3. For more information search for SN1 Fest on Facebook.
